What is my Divine purpose anyway?

Your Divine purpose is essentially what you were born to do. It is a way of being or something you do that you can do better than anyone else. No one can fulfill your Divine purpose as well as you can. It is your choice to fulfill your Divine purpose or not. That is your free will. You, however, will lead a much happier life and have a much stronger impact on the world if you choose to learn and live your Divine purpose.
Your Divine purpose can be fulfilled through a variety of ways. It’s not necessarily associated with a particular job or religious affiliation, although those things can support you in fulfilling your Divine purpose. Your Divine purpose is fulfilled in your way of showing up to the world. No one can tell you what your Divine purpose is, you have to come to that on your own.
I want to tell you a story about a woman who is very near and dear to my heart. Her name is Chris and she is my mother. My mother radiates Divine love. That is her purpose in the world. I doubt that it is anything she ever decided upon or gave much thought to. My mother’s Divine purpose simply comes naturally to her.
Now if you asked my mother, she would probably tell you that she’s not a very ambitious person. There are things she wants in life, but as long as she has time to spend with her family, a job that is meaningful to her, and a comfortable home, she is happy. My mother may never write a best seller, or even put up a website, but she touches the world everyday with her smile.
My mother smiles at friends and strangers alike, and with every smile she gives, my mother makes the world a little bit better. My mother fulfills her Divine purpose with every hand she holds, and with every hug and every smile. It is simply her way of showing up to the world.
So how do you find out what your Divine purpose is so that you can live it in your daily life?
You start with two basic steps: connect with source and pay attention.
In order to receive Divine guidance as to what your Divine purpose is and how you will best fulfill it, you have to take time out from your busy life to listen. You know how when someone calls you when you’re in the middle of your favorite television show, or something else that already has your full attention, the person on the phone will talk to you but by the end of the call you have no idea what was said. If you want to receive Divine guidance you have to take time out from all the distractions.
There are a variety of ways to connect to source. Two excellent methods include meditation and prayer. For you, connecting with source might be achieved best through yoga or hiking, or maybe journaling. I personally feel very connected when I play my piano, I also practice meditation and yoga. The key points to remember when you are starting to connect to source are that you choose something that feels natural to you and that you take the time to connect regularly. The more often you connect the easier the process becomes and the more your connection is sustained throughout the day.
When you are connected to source, your Divine purpose will start to flow through you and into your life. The impact may be small at first, but eventually It will be your way of showing up to the world. Now is the time to start paying attention to the guidance you receive. Pay attention to the answers to the following questions:
1. What brought you joy today?
2. What were you thankful for today?
3. What happened today that you didn’t want to happen and how could you change things in the future?
4. Is there something that want to do now or in the future?
5. Did you help someone today or did you want to help someone today?
Use these questions to start building awareness around your Divine purpose. The stronger your connection to source and the greater your awareness, the more your Divine purpose will show up in your life.
If you are having difficulty connecting to your Divine purpose I suggest this book by Doreen Virtue The Lightworker’s Way: Awakening Your Spiritual Power to Know and Heal It tells her amazing story and is a guide and inspiration to everyone looking to fulfill their own Divine purpose.

You know i can relate to this article, I am sure we all have a purpose on this planet, but its up to us to identify with who we are before we can achieve the success we desire. I lost my daughter 4 years ago (she was 1 month old) and i felt like everything around me was suddenly blacked out. I live my life believing it was my fault and it has made it difficult for me at times.thank you for this article it really hits home with me. merry christmas
